Florália Hematite Iron Ore Project in Minas Gerais State, Brazil (DSO)

The Florália Hematite Property (“Property”) includes an historic open pit mine located within a prolific hematite iron ore mining locality, 70-km east of the capital city of Belo Horizonte in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The Florália Mineral Right n° 832.022/2018 covers approximate area of 613 hectares.

In 2023, Jaguar Mining conducted a mapping and sampling program, 41 channel samples were collected over a 151m accumulated length. The samples averaged 58% Fe. This work has resulted in the definition of a geological target estimated at 2,971,233 m3 to 4,496,333 m3 or 8,052,041 tonnes to 12,184,160 tonnes using a density of 2.71 g/cm3 at an average grade of 58% Fe.

High-grade hematite (60% Fe) is often referred to as “Direct Shipping Ore” or “DSO” because it is mined and beneficiated using a relatively simple crushing and screening process before being exported for use in steel mills. The appeal of DSO lies not only in its high iron content but also in small environmental footprint, lower greenhouse gas emissions from dry processing, no requirement for water or environmental sensitive tailings dams.

MAX cautions investors the potential quantity and grade of the iron ore is conceptual in nature, and further cautions there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and MAX is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource. The source of the exploration information on the Florália Property is “Depósito Florália Oportunidade para minerrio de ferro by Jaguar Mining Inc.” The document is undated.

Current State of Exploration

April 2024, MAX conducted investigation and due diligence of the Property. Then assembled an exploration team headed by iron ore geologists Henrique De Sales as head of operations who resides in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais State, Brazil.

MAX has now conducted a drone hi-res 140-line-km magnetic/LiDAR survey which identified a significant 1,000m by 1,500m hematite zone that correlates with field activities and extrapolates from the 160m-by-160m historic open cut. MAX’s technical team reviewed the new drone magnetics and channel sampling data significantly expanding the Hematite geological target from 8 to 12mt at 58% Fe to 50 to 70mt at 55 to 61% Fe from surface and open in all directions. In addition, a Hematite/Itabirite geological target of 120 to 170mt at 53% Fe.

Next Steps: Channel sample assays are pending; bulk sample test work; auger and diamond drilling.

Centrally located within the Belo Horizonte steel industry hub in Brazil’s largest iron ore producing State.
Disclaimer

Hematite mineralization tonnage potential estimation is based on in situ high-grade outcrops and interpreted and modelled magnetic anomalies. Density value used for the estimate is 2.8t/m³. Hematite sample grades range between 55-61% Fe. Hematite/Itabirite mineralization tonnage potential estimation is based on in situ itabirite outcrop interpreted and modelled magnetic anomalies. Density value used for the estimate is 2.5t/m3. Itabirite sample grades range between 51-55% Fe.

The 58 channel samples were collected for chemical analysis from in situ outcrops in previously mined slopes of industrial materials. Channel samples weighed in average 14 kg. Chemical analysis was performed at ALS Laboratories. Metal Oxides are determined using XRF analysis. Fusion disks are made with pulped samples and the addition of a borate-based flux. Max did not insert standards or blanks in the assay stream and is relying on ALS’s lab QA/QC

Drone Video & Magnetic Survey

This drone video showcases the high-resolution magnetic and LiDAR survey conducted over the Florália Hematite Iron Ore Property. Spanning 140 line-kilometers with 50-meter spacing, the survey highlights a remarkable 1,500m by 1,000m bull’s-eye anomaly.

These advanced geophysical insights provide a detailed view of the property’s potential, guiding exploration efforts and unlocking promising targets for further development.
